Fees
Why is there a fee to attend MAI courses?
The fees charged by the MAI are to recover the cost associated with administering and delivering a course. These costs include MAI administration and management of the course, instructor preparation and teaching time, binders, copying, catering, and other course-related expenses. The fee is for cost-recovery. It is not a mechanism to generate revenue or profit from MITRE organizations and their sponsors.
How does MAI calculate the cost per person?
When a course is advertised, the per person cost for the course is included. This cost is determined based on a minimum number of students necessary to hold the course. Therefore, the higher the number of attendees after a minimum number has been reached, the lower the actual cost to MITRE staff and FAA staff.
What is the typical course cost?
Generally, a one-day course costs approximately $600, a two-day course costs approximately $1,000, while a three-day course costs about $1,300. These costs may vary depending on location, number of participants, and other variables.
Is there a cancellation fee?
Yes. If an application withdraws within 3 business days of the start of the course, there will be a cancellation fee of $250 charged to the project. If an applicant withdraws within 24 hours the full cost of the course will be charged to the project
